BKCU ANNUAL DINNER & MEETING

Find your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow at Blaw Knox Credit Union! Members and their guests are encouraged to attend the Annual Blaw Knox Credit Union Dinner and Meeting!  It will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the American Legion, 1903 Maple Street, in Mattoon. Doors will open at 5:00pm for social hour and registration. Dinner, catered by Niemerg’s featuring their delicious fried chicken, will be served promptly at 6:00pm followed by the meeting and door prizes. If you plan to attend, please return your reservation plus $8 per person for the dinner to the Credit Union office or to any Director by January 18th. If you will not be attending, it is still imperative that you sign and return your proxy by January 18th. Please refer to the proxy and reservation form included in this mailing for complete details. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with old friends! Hope that you will be able to attend!

CHRISTMAS CLUBS 2019

Want a great way to avoid holiday stress next year? Open your 2019 Christmas Club at BKCU! The Christmas Club is paying 1.25%. All deposits must remain in the account until November 1, 2019, at which time the balance of the account will be paid by check to the owner. The last day to open a Christmas Club for 2019 is January 31st, so open yours today! Remember, the sooner you open your account the sooner you can start saving!

SAM’S CLUB MEMBERSHIPS

A representative from Sam’s Club will be available at the BKCU office on February 22nd, March 22nd and April 26th from 2:30-4:30pm each day to open new Sam’s Club memberships or renew memberships. Special Sam’s Club incentives will be given to each new or renewing membership.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Scholarship applications for members entering or in college will be available in our office sometime in the spring. Please call for the specifics.

 

CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to our International Credit Union Day drawing winners! Carla Rich won the $50 share deposit. Marty Jordan and Therese Goldstein each won a $25 share deposit. We’re glad so many members stopped by to visit on that special day! Remember, our members are our credit union!

MEETING AGENDA

 

The annual Meeting of the Blaw-Knox Credit Union will be held at the American Legion

1903 Maple Street, Mattoon, Illinois, Saturday, January 26, 2019 with social hour and registration beginning at 5:00 P.M.  Dinner will be served promptly at 6:00 P.M.  This year’s theme is Find your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow at BKCU!

 

The purpose of the meeting is to provide members an opportunity to receive the reports of the Directors and Committees, elect officers for 2019, and to transact such business as may come before the meeting.  This will be your opportunity to review the progress made by your Credit Union during the past year, and your presence is requested.  We will have a delicious buffet dinner catered by Niemerg’s and a short business meeting.  Following the meeting we will have drawings for prizes and time to visit with your fellow credit union members.

 

If you are unable to attend, please execute the proxy form and return it to the Credit Union office or to any Director.  It is important that these proxies be returned in order to have a legal meeting.  The Directors are as follows: Dennis Camfield, William Landrus III, Charles Wade, Brenda Herman, Marvin Brannon, John McMillan, April Cizek and Nicolas Houser.
